The 87454487 cutting edge is an aftermarket bolt-on wear component supplied for compatibility identification against a CNH reference number. Case Construction identifies the reference as a reversible 78-inch bolt-on cutting edge with nine mounting holes.

This type of cutting edge is installed along the lower front edge of a compatible skid steer or compact track loader bucket. It forms the replaceable contact edge used during loading, site preparation, cleanup and material-handling operations. When the exposed working edge becomes worn, a reversible configuration may allow the opposite edge to be used, provided the bucket design, wear condition and installation instructions permit reversal.

Dealer catalogs describe 87454487 as a double-edged cutting edge with a nominal width of 203.2 mm and a published overall length of 2016.1 mm. However, older parts diagrams and the official 78-inch designation also reference approximately 1981 mm.
