Product Description
How to install and replace bucket tooth correctly?
1. Disassemble the old bucket teeth
1. Safety preparations
Shut down the machine and turn off the engine, cut off the power supply, park the equipment on a flat ground, and pull the safety lock lever to the "locked" position.
Place spacers at the bottom of the bucket for support to ensure that the working surface is level and stable.
2. Disassembly operation
Direct-mounted bucket teeth (with the pin shaft perpendicular): Align the short teeth of the bucket teeth wrench (pin breaker) with the pin teeth, hammer until loose, then replace the long teeth and strike completely.
Exit the pin shaft.
Horizontally mounted bucket teeth (with parallel pin shafts): Special long-pole tools are required to strike from the side. Disassemble in sequence to avoid jamming.
After removing the old bucket teeth, check the wear of the tooth seat (replacement is required if it exceeds 10%) and the cleanliness of the pin holes.
Ii. Cleaning and Inspection
1. Thoroughly clean the dirt, welding slag or rust from the installation surface of the tooth seat, the pin holes and the lock plate grooves to ensure there are no residues.
2. Check whether the lock pins and retaining rings are deformed or worn. Damaged parts must be replaced (worn lock pins will cause new teeth to loosen).
When the wear of the tooth seat exceeds 15%, it should be replaced simultaneously to prevent the bucket teeth from breaking due to uneven force.
Iii. Install new bucket teeth
Component assembly
Insert the retaining ring into the side groove of the tooth seat, and install the new bucket teeth to align with the pin hole.
Direct-mounted type: The lock plate is pre-installed into the tooth seat hole (anti-drop design).
2. Pin shaft fixation
Manually insert the pin shaft to 1/3 depth, then strike it vertically with a hammer until it is fully inserted (for horizontal installation, make sure the pin shaft is parallel to the tooth surface).
After installation, test the stability of the bucket teeth: the foot kick should not be loose, and the end of the pin shaft should be flush with the tooth seat.
3. Special working condition adaptation
Earthwork: Prioritize flat teeth (maintaining sharpness)
Hard rock working conditions: RC type rock teeth (thickened for impact resistance) are selected.
