 How does axial flux motor technology reshape the power landscape of heavy trucks?

     At the TMC2025 conference, the axial flux motor technology showcased by Panhu Power caused a stir in the industry. Its PDS450KCA drive assembly, with a self-weight of 355kg and an axial dimension of 755mm, has achieved a breakthrough of reducing weight by 100kg and shortening by 340mm compared to the traditional solution. Even more astonishing is the "double 92.5%" high-efficiency zone performance, which means that it can still maintain ultra-high energy efficiency under the frequent start and stop conditions of heavy trucks. The actual measurement data of coal transportation in Shanxi Province shows that the energy consumption of the fleet equipped with this technology is as low as 1.08-1.32 kilowatt-hours per kilometer, which is more than 30% lower than the industry average.
