The process flow of bucket tooth painting - curing and inspection standards

Thermodynamic curing curve ‌ : when baked at 70℃, the Tg (glass transition temperature) of the paint film should be raised to above 60℃ (verified by DMA dynamic mechanical analysis). Infrared drying requires controlling the mid-wave infrared with a wavelength of 2-4μm to prevent the surface from overheating.

Abrasion resistance test ‌ : Taber abrasion resistance test shall be conducted in accordance with ISO 7782 standard. The weight loss after 1000 cycles shall be less than 5mg. The underground environment requires an additional 72-hour salt spray test (ASTM B117) with a rating of ≥ grade 9.

Special working condition response plan

Process adjustment in high-cold regions ‌ : At -30℃, 5% low-temperature curing agent (such as cashew phenol modified amine) should be added, and an electric heating spray gun should be used to maintain the coating temperature at ≥15℃.

Acidic mine water protection ‌ : It is recommended to add 3% nano-alumina (particle size 50nm) to the topcoat, which can increase the immersion time in pH3 acidic solution to 2000 hours.
