The Trimble PCS900 3D paving control system is a high-precision automated construction technology that integrates three-dimensional spatial positioning, BIM modeling, and real-time data collaboration to achieve millimeter-level paving control for roads or airport runways. This system directly reads digital design models, replacing the traditional manual wire-pulling positioning method, ensuring an efficient and precise construction process.


I. Core Working Principle

The system adopts the rear intersection technology to set up a high-precision total station (such as the SPS930 model), which tracks the active 360° prism coordinates on the boom of the paver in real time and transmits the position information to the control computer through the data transmission radio.

The control computer, in combination with the BIM model data, calculates the left and right elevation correction values of the ironing plate, automatically sends instructions to the hydraulic valve (such as the CB440 control box), and drives the oil cylinder to adjust the elevation Angle of the ironing plate, achieving dynamic elevation and slope control.

This system supports complex pavement designs (such as transition curves or frequently changing cross slopes), and can adapt to restricted environments like tunnels or narrow corridors, ensuring that the smoothness error is minimized.
