Product Description
Inspection and evaluation steps before remanufacturing of bucket teeth
The following are the systematic inspection and evaluation steps for bucket teeth before remanufacturing, formulated in combination with quality control standards:
I. Pre-treatment inspection
Appearance defect screening
Sand sticking/corrosion : sandblasting cleaning to Sa2.5 grade (Ra≤12.5μm), hydrofluoric acid immersion treatment for stubborn sand sticking;
Crack detection : Penetrant inspection of the tooth tip and root. If the length exceeds 1/3 of the tooth width or the crack is penetrating, the tooth should be scrapped directly.
Stomatal assessment : diameter > 3mm or dense stomata (volume ratio > 2%) cannot be repaired.
Structural integrity determination
Wear measurement :
When the residual rate of tooth height is less than 60%, it is scrapped; when it is greater than or equal to 60%, surfacing repair is applicable.
Repair of the root fillet R < 0.2m or the presence of reticular cracks is prohibited.
Installation surface deformation : if the contact surface collapse is greater than 0.5mm, cold leveling is required.
Ii. Performance Parameter Detection
Test items methods and tools qualified standards
Matrix hardness three-point measurement by leeb hardness tester ≥40 HRC (matrix failure below this value)
The state of the hardened layer microscopic Vickers hardness gradient test: the hardness difference from the tooth tip to the substrate is ≤15% HV
Assembly fit simulate the installation of the gear seat and check that there is no displacement of the loose pin shaft after hammering
Iii. Feasibility Decisions for Restoration
Repairable scene :
Local wear (tooth tip/tooth surface) has not exceeded the limit.
Non-penetrating cracks with anti-crack holes drilled at the ends;
The hardness of the substrate is ≥40 HRC and there is no micro-decarburization layer.
Compulsory scrapping scenario :
The fillet R at the tooth root is less than 0.2m.
Network cracks in the matrix or complete detachment of the hardened layer;
Key dimensional deformation exceeds the tolerance (such as pin hole out-of-roundness > 0.5mm).
