Product Description
Specific Position of Cutting Edge Plates in the Bucket
The cutting edge plates of a loader bucket are located at the foremost cutting position of the bucket structure. Their specific layout and functions are as follows:
I. Structural Position
Core Positioning:
The cutting edge plates are vertically welded to the front edge of the bucket's lower section, serving as the bucket's “primary cutting edge” that directly contacts material for initial cutting.
Auxiliary Structure:
Standard mounting holes (typically spaced 150-200mm apart) are provided on the cutting edge plate for installing bucket teeth or secondary cutting edges to enhance wear resistance.
II. Component Interrelationships
Adjacent Component Functional Coordination Description
Side Edge Forms a complete cutting profile in conjunction with the cutting edge plate
Corner Edge Enhances wear resistance in the bucket's corner regions
Wear Plate/Side Plate Transfers cutting forces to the bucket body via welding
III. Material Selection and Application Conditions
Earthmoving Applications:
Utilize medium-manganese alloy steel cutting plates (hardness HB300+) with forging + heat treatment to enhance wear resistance.
Rock Applications:
Can be replaced with V-shaped toothed cutting plates, featuring 50% deeper teeth for improved crushing efficiency.
Note: Cutting plate flatness deviation must be controlled within 3mm per entire plate to prevent welding stress concentration.
